Sevilla's Luis Fabiano Out For Three Weeks

3:30 AM by SW

Luis Fabiano will miss the Sevilla derby next month after he was ruled out for three weeks today.AS reports that the Brazilian suffered the injury in the Valencia game last night, when he collided with Emiliano Moretti.Fabiano was taken off in the dying moments of the match, and Sevilla have confirmed he has an injury to his left knee and will be out for three weeks.Aside from the big clash with Real Betis, he will also miss games against Sporting Gijón, Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey, and a Brazil friendly, which he was called up for.The news will be a blow to Manolo Jiménez, who has rarely had a full squad to choose from this season, and will now, more than likely, have to play with just Freddy Kanouté up front.Whilst Fabiano is out, his fellow countryman, Adriano, should be able to play against Sporting this weekend, despite having to be taken off in the game last night. The Brazilian winger was substituted with heavy legs in the Copa Del Rey clash, but he should train normally today.Sevilla need to win this weekend as they continue to chase down Real Madrid and Barcelona, the latter of whom they are now 15 points behind
